Positive: One of the best stays we’ve ever had. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel welcome from the very beginning. The breakfast was outstanding, and the location was excellent. The interior is beautiful and very tastefully designed, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Positive: The room was lovely. Bed super comfortable. Perfect location. Staff were incredibly friendly. 10/10 all around. Upon arrival I was greeted with coca tea. When I told them I was from Louisiana (elevation below sea level) they were very kind and checked on me often since I was traveling alone. I was heading to Aguas Calientes for a night after my stay then heading back to Cusco before my next leg of my trip and they let me keep my large bag there after my stay so I would not have to travel with it for the short trip.

Negative: Everything was wonderful.

Summary: Couldn’t recommend enough.

Positive: Excellent family run accomodation within a short walk to main square. Room and breakfast excellent. Stored our luggage for our trek and organised Taxis to the airport for us.

Positive: The family that runs Casa Matara are wonderful. They are so helpful and kind. They helped us navigate Cusco easily. Breakfast was great and when we had early tours, they would make take away breakfasts for us. One person in our party with extensive food allergies and they were great at catering for that. The rooms were comfortable, the showers were hot and there was always hot tea available. The location was great, in easy walking distance from Plaza de Armas, San Pedro markets as well as shops and restaurants.

Negative: Everything was great.

Summary: A comfortable hotel run by an amazing family.

Positive: The experience was amazing! The family and owners are so attentive and welcoming. My room was right sized for a solo traveler. They provided everything I needed. The tv worked fine and WiFi was good. The bathroom was right sized just had to shower at different times to know when the hottest water was available. Breakfast was lovely. Best way to spend time in Peru!
